The Novitiate provides the setting of intensive prayer, study and reflection and formative apostolic activity.  Its primary goal is to aid the candidate "appreciate and live the religious life and be penetrated by the mystery of reconciliation and the relevance of the teaching put forth in the La Salette Event". 

The goal is achieved by (a) deepening the candidate's understanding of the Mystery of Christ and the role of Mary so that his life, his whole life may be imbued with the spirit of the Gospel, (b)  immersing himself into the story and event of Mary's apparition at la Salette.

Towards the end of the novitiate year, the candidate would have been helped to commit himself freely and maturely to the life and mission of the Missionaries of Our Lady of La Salette.

The 12-month program is based at Biga, Silang, Cavite which has its own separate formation house.

The Director for Novitiate Formation is Fr. Rizal Pedro Acosta, MS.  Kennedy Neral is the lone Novice for Novitiate Year 2007-2008.
