In 1959, the late Fr. Ray Leduc, MS who was the Parish Priest of Our Lady of Rosary Parish in Jones, Isabela thought of putting up a school for the young boys and girls of his parish. This aspiration grew more intense that he requested, with the help of the Parishioners, the Bishop for its approval. Sooner than expected, the approval came as a result of the sacrifice and approval of its late Fr. Leduc, MS.
With the help of Fr. Conrad Blanchet, MS who was incumbent Vice-Provincial Superior of the Congregation, the year 1961 marked the putting up of school buildings to accommodate first year and second year high school students.
The school started its official operation with just two classrooms, a principal’s office, registrar’s office and a library. The year 1964 marked the first graduation of 27 graduates of La Salette of Jones. From the 1962 to 1969, additional classrooms and buildings were constructed especially during the administration of Fr. Lionel Lacasse, MS and Fr. Maurice Martineau, MS. In 1967, a new basketball court was constructed as a project donation from the 1967-68 graduates. In 1969-1980, the Home Economics Building named as Fr. Raymond Leduc Building, in honor of its founder, was constructed through the help of the Leduc sisters and the Home and School Association. The year 1981 marked the presence of Religious Sisters in the school. Sister Carmen Jimenez, DC, a Sister of the Daughters of Charity was the first Religion Coordinator.
From there on up to 1989-1990, the DCs continually collaborated with the La Salette Missionaries in the parish and in the school. In 1982-1983, the Industrial Arts Building was erected through a foreigbn grant and with the help of the Parents-Teachers Association.
On its 25th year in 1986, the Kindergarten was established with Fr. Rizal Pedro Acosta, MS as its first Director and Sr. Leny Segara, DC as the first teacher and Coordinator. In 1988, the Canteen Annex was built as a project of the LS Jones Student Body Organization.
The growth and development in terms of enrolment, buildings and facilities had not been as expected on account of the presence of a government-run secondary school which fees are much lower than that of La Salette of Jones. However, the school successfully survived through the years because of its reputation for high standard of disciple, quality religious education and academic program.
