In the year 1959 when the La Salette Missionaries reached Quezon, Isabela they felt the need of the people of the community as expressed by the parents. They wanted to have high school in their community. Because of this, the Missionaries started to construct three-room high school building beside the catholic church on a piece of land allotted for them by the Municipality. It is located at the southernmost part of the town of Quezon, Isabela.
In June 1960, the school started her operation with only 30 first year students and two teachers, Mr. Antonio Santos, the Principal and Ms. Clara Santiago, the Registrar. Through the able leadership of Fr. Emery Des Rochers, MS – the director, with the assistance of Mr. Antonio Santos, the number of students increased during the succeeding years. In 1962, the construction of Don Bosco church was started with LSQ community spearheading the fund drive, until in October 28, 1962 it was ready for use by the people of Quezon.
The La Salette Missionaries appointed Mr. Macario T. Villanueva as the principal of the school after Mr. Antonio Santos left his position to become the Manager of the Philippine National Bank in Santiago, Isabela. Fr. Albert Bard, MS served as Director in SY 1962-1963 while Mr. Macario Villanueva served as the Principal up to SY 1973.
With the coming of the late Fr. Normand A. Helie, MS and with the help of Mr. Villanueva, one annex classroom of the school building was constructed. The project was funded by the Missionaries of our Lady of La Salette. Another annex classroom added to the building during the year 1971-72. The Quezon people funded this project.
With Father Rutillo B. Mallillin, MS (1969-1971) and Fr. Frank Bourgeois, MS (1971-78) as Directors, the school was able to put up two classrooms, two dormitories (one for the boys and one for the girls) while one teachers’ cottage was built and a windmill was installed.
In the SY 1978-79, Mrs. Angeles Villanueva was appointed by the Board of Trustees of La Salette of Quezon as Acting Principal of the school when the principal who was her husband left to become a manager of Rural Bank of Quezon. Fr. Alphonse Larochelle, MS took over as the Director of the School.
