La Salette of Ramon came to existence through the request and aspiration of the people of the town of Ramon. Since there was no secondary school then and their children were just going to other towns for their high school education, with the able leadership of the first town mayor, Hon. Angelino F. Vizcarra, the council then shared their willingness to support a Catholic School in their town.

Of the eight (8) La Salette High Schools Built in Isabela by the Missionaries of Our Lady of La Salette, La Salette of ramon is the latest to be constructed and on official operation.

In 1966, Bugallon, a barrio of Santiago, situated in the north, became a town. The town Ramon came into existence with twelve barrios to its credit. The town was named after the late President Ramon Magsaysay. The only existing school in the new town was an elementary school and some community schools for the intermediate grades. Pupils who pursue secondary education went to neighboring towns of Santiago, San Mateo, Echague and Alicia. After three years of much experience, it was proposed therefore, in one of the council meetings, that a high school be established in the town. The population of the town was growing and so there was a great need for a secondary education.

It was contemplated then that the school be built in the lot of Engr. Inocencio Castaņeda, which is half kilometer east of the Municipal hall But when ad how it would be established was yet uncertain. The Catholic Community of the town however, got wind of the plan and suggested to the Parish Priest, who is a La Salette Missionary, their desire to have a Catholic School. the Vice-Provincial of La Salette Missionaries acted on behalf of the crying need of the people and sent Fr. Efren Musngi, MS to negitiate with the town Mayor on the establishment of a La Salette High School in the Area.

Hence, on January 13, 1968, La Salette of Ramon, Inc. was established with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Plans were made and raw materials were bought so that on the last week of March 1968, things began to take shape operationally.

Rev. Fr. William Slight, MS was the first Rector-educational Consultant-Chaplain all rolled into one. The school Administrator eyed on Mr. Efren Milano, Mr. Ricardo Gonzaga, Mr. Benjamin Abalo and Mr. Mariano Guiab for the Principalship of the school.

Mr. Mariano Guiab took the challenge and together three graduates of La Salette College, started enrolment two weeks before classes started on July 1986.

Although posters were made and posted in strategic places announcing the existence of a high school in town aside from going around the barrios encouraging the parents to send their children to the newly built high school, the enrolment was only one hundred sixteen (116) students. These were divided into three sections, one under the able leadership of Ms. Norma Fernandez; the other was under Ms. Teresita Singh and the third was under Mr. Roberto Alvarez. At the end of the schoolyear, about 10% dropped out and one hundred four students remained in the school till closing time. Every year the school applied for permit to operate until it was granted recognition on its 5th year of operation so on its second year, another permit was granted to operate the third year level.

For the schoolyear 1969-1970, Fr. Ronald Beauchemin, MS was assigned Chaplain and Educational Consultant. Two personnel were added in the roster of employees to handle the growing population of the school. There were one hundred seventy six students enrolled during the year. In the middle of the schoolyear Fr. Beauchemin, MS left for vacation and Fr. Richard Lavoie, MS took over. However, after the end of the same year, Fr. Dick Lamontagne, MS took over the position of Fr. Lavoie, MS who also went to vacation.
